Not sure where to post!

Looking for good examples to provide inspiration and ideas for setting up a Farm education centre to host schools and other community groups.

Any links, names etc would be greatly appreciated.

The Farms For City Children charity set up by Michael Morpurgo in the mid 80’s would be best to speak to, there’s 3 main “host farms”, Devon, Gloucestershire and Pembrokeshire.
I’m not sure about the Devon & Glocs ones but Pembrokeshire takes circa 35 schools (London mainly) a year for 5-7 day stays at a time - so over 1000 children plus all of the staff that come to.

If you speak to head office in Devon they will take you through a few questions you may have, or PM me if it’s something basic..

Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens. National body for such things, recently merged with the Care Farm network so increased focus on the therapeutic benefits of farm visits. Despite the name you dont need to be urban. We are members, not least for the insurance package they offer.
