I wish I had known this was on sooner, would have had a stand there.

It's a good show, and reasonably close to us. Hopefully the number of outside exhibitors has increased this year; last year it was a bit quiet outside. We find YAMS and MMS to be busier shows, but they are both well established and geographically better placed.

The last time I went to the KCS they charged me for a senior citizen I was only in my late twenties admittedly I was with my dad at the time but I didn't think farming aged you that much.

I have a lot of happy memories of going around the dealer stands with him early on and having a free drink etc like at the Dalgety, Grain Harvester and Haynes stands before swapping to my mum early afternoon near the horses rings and getting fish and chips.

Couldn't walk far in one section without bumping into some one who knew dad, the same when it came to my mum near the horses. I used to save my pocket money for the Britain toy stand used to be nirvana for me.

I went every year from the mid 80's until I moved to Wales in 2006. My great aunt had a farm had a farm in Stockbury and I also 'worked' on the Kent Scouts stand quite often with the climbing wall.
