Farm shop

I know that a small farm shop doesn’t require PP as long as it utilises an existing agricultural building and is under a certain size but do we need prior approval or give notice?

We put in the relevant planning. In our case a 28day notice.
Checked with highways regards access etc. The key factor in our project was that any 'development' must be at least 25m from a public highway. Got the tape measure out and that was the red line - literally!

Best doing it this way as a misunderstanding down the line could prove expensive and very inconvenient.

Yes, you generally need to state the % of home/ locally produced lines you will be carrying.

But I wouldn't worry too much; from what I have seen the enforcement of such criteria is best described as 'lax'........
Until "Genuine " and "above board " retail businesses get pizzed off and report them!
