On a similar note I laughed at the bbc news again this year when they wheel out the same people ( NFU types) every year to proclaim a disastrous drought when it hasn’t rained for 4 days in a row in April.

Our farming bodies have a talent for selecting certain types of folk to talk to. Mostly those with not a lot on

Im not really into naming names, and I’m sure he’s a very nice and enthusiastic young chap. But getting your truck sign written with your Instagram handle is pretty cringe just find it bizarre the amount of effort some folk seem to put into cadging free wellies and getting likes, compared to improving their sheep system / knowledge.

I think it’s an interesting window into a bizarre world of style over substance. Some awesome folk doing cool stuff, and then a lot of drivel. I’ve only just started using it.

My claim to fame is half a million folk watched a video I put up of my dogs and 15,000 odd folk liked it #biginthegame

so all in all your really not a fan of Instagram? You should try TikTok much better over there I’m a bit of a big deal in the TikTok world don’t you know 10,000 followers

There is something refreshing about when someone stats that they are in it to pull some money out of it.

I cannot stand the I'm here to raise awareness types and I'm not interested in the money... If they aren't in it for the money then why don't they just turn their monetization button off.

I do find it a bit sad (and this isn’t aimed at you) that the folk they the NFU, NSA etc hold up as the future of farming .... are so bad at it, or so lacking in confidence in farming ....... that they desperately pour all of their energy and efforts into trying to make money out of social media (whilst mostly doing a below average job of the farming).

None did get offered too sell one of my videos too a promotion company but when I told them how much money I wanted they pulled the plug on the deal
