Agree with not necessarily an accurate view of whole farm. During lambing about 3 years ago, the ewe lambs, I got all dead lambs together in a pile for knacker man next day, about 15/20, quite a few days worth, had a c section that I got vet to do as I was knackered, went up to him when he arrived and he had a face like thunder of conditions, badger/fox though see argument of neither had been in shed and spread "dead pile" from right on edge of shed by gate all over the lambing shed. Fully admit looked awful, should have been outside the shed, but red kites drag them everywhere, my farm if pictured to how it suits the story you want to tell, could be a show animal producing perfect farm to a dead animals everywhere type farmNo, they are not the "better" pictures!!! They are the worst;a dead cow and a dead/downer stirk.Something does not stack up here, where are the other 170 animals? We do not know if the photographs were a snapshot of the whole farm,or carefully taken of the very worst parts for maximum impact.I suspect the latter. The headline picture is of the unfortuneate bedding his calves up;they appear healthy. The structure of the buildings look decent. There has been a burst/broken water trough in one shed which makes it look really bad,but this can happen to anyone. If the pictures were the worst of the farm,i suggest 3/4 hours work with a loadall,2 dozen round/big square bales of straw, and the dead cow, stirk and calf away to the fallen stock, and this would have been sorted.
