Farmer Roy's Random Thoughts - I never said it was easy.

I have known a few scientists and they seem very good at finding what they are looking for, whether it is there or not.
Our eldest lad reckons "they could prove where Santa was on Christmas night if they used those PCR tests" which is a fairly good sign that we all have a genius inside us, but we learn to ignore that genius in order to survive as an adult.

Usually that inner genius only gets our attention in our dreams

My random thought for the morning, imagine how delighted Barn Owls were when people invented barns.
We have a sub species here. Far more wyrie, nimbal and adaptive. Shed owls🤣🤣(y)

They look like fat meerkats, perched up there.

Always liked owls, my poor mother must have read me "the owl who was afraid of the dark" hundreds of times, to the extent I can quote it

Owls in Africa are supposed to foretell imminent death people here are very frightened of them.
I did not know that.
Oddly enough, ever since my Dad popped his clogs, I've been aware of a lot more owls around the house, despite moving a couple of times

we have a lot of "Morepork" here which are the NZ native owl, seem to like all the mice in the longer covers.
Between more little owls, morepork and native harriers moving back in, I kinda feel better about being a terrible farmer 🙂
