Sharing a restraunt with gun toting folks would not trouble me in the slightest, perhaps because here in NI, such occurances were well common,
ok not open carry, but certainly packing/gun-toting.
Not infrequently with "drink taken", bytimes to excess, and zero consequences or incidents.

But practically in Europe what is the point in carrying a gun apart from a dick extension.

A real man would ‘step outside’.

I’ve actually a centre fire 22-250,2x rimfire .22 and 2x shotguns in the cabinet however usually by the time I get the damn things out of the cabinet whatever needs shooting usually has done a runner.
I keep a fairly good safe full, and probably have a fairly good reputation around town here for busting clays whenever I think it is windy enough to not trigger the AOS to be dispatched

I love hunting but even just shooting, I enjoy. Good to have a range of hobbies, it makes hobby farming look cheaper

I’ve not got enough patience or time.

This place is just up the road from us.

I have never caught carp, although have caught loads of perch at times and that was a fishing frenzy if ever there was

Yeah, time is the issue, but I guess it comes down to (in my case) the kids will never be this age again. Neither will I!

I think fishing is something you have to have an inclination for.

Our kids have been up there without me with the owner and his nieces of a similar age and it was fun however I think they’d probably enjoy kicking a ball around more.

Fishing is like golf, more enjoyable if you actually succeed every now and then. I've never, ever, ever caught a fish. I'll tag along with a fisher person and just read my book :ROFLMAO:

What - never?

Jeez, especially with the fantastic waters in Canada (allegedly as never personally been able to get out there), but I suppose the scenery is great to pass the time as well, but still.
You have some serious fishing waters over there, and some good eating too by all accounts that it would be a great challenge - as long as the bears stay the f**k away

Had one on my line once... the line broke :cautious:

Went netting for suckers during their migration, figured it was a sealed deal. Got attacked by a carp, did a squeely dance, scared all the fish downstream and 3 suckers right into my brothers net

It would be a real test of what would happen first here; Running into a bear or me actually catching a fish!

Depends where you're fishing really. It's not like bears are common all over the place here. If you're fishing in the mountains you'd be more likely to see one maybe, or in Manitoba or along the west coast.

But don't carry with you images of Kodiaks catching salmon out of streams. They don't do that where I am. You'd be more apt to run into a bear picking berries than fishing :ROFLMAO:
