He's about due to wean, so probably a big mob of sheep in a panic about the most effective harrows there are, dogs earn their tucker and the seeds are nipped in tight - with the most weatherproof finish availableYou fellas seem to do quite a bit of chucking seed onto the surface .
Can be a bit hit n miss here - having a reliable / regular rainfall probably helps a lot
I've seen blokes fly wheat & barley on with planes after floods ( when too wet to get on the ground. We don't like our fields looking like some of the "today at work" success stories ). Works best if the seed hits the ground hard enough to slightly bury itself, but not so good if the seed is just left on the ground.
Will he harrow the turnip seeds, or just leave it ?
TBH he said he struggled to get around with the discs on as it was still greasy after rain.
