Don't like poison because my dog likes ratting, the cats have a few too although it's a big ask for a cat to tackle a full grown rat, but they can manage the young ones, anyway, there's more meat on a rabbit for the cats.

I agree, cat catches enough rabbits but, apart from the odd younger rat, stays off rat. Neighbours cat wonders into the yard and has a taste for squrrial.

I built some boxes for fenn traps for the bosses pheasant pen to catch rats.

He was delighted when they caught squirrels too!

I do pest control in the north east. Traps for moles, Ali-phos is too hit and miss. Poison for rats, theres a little bit of resistance to difenacoum around here so bromadiolone outside, brodifacoum indoors. Traps or shotty for squirrels.

Had a rat a while back that wouldn't be trapped - tried everything we could to no avail. Put down some bait & 24 hours later he was dead!
