UK to stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes, PM to tell NATO
The international community cannot waver in the face of relentless Russian aggression, the Prime Minister will tell NATO today.www.gov.uk
yup not enough people claimed sfi, so they cut the budget. use it or loose it100 million because it hadn’t been spent last year so obviously we didn’t need it.
So much for their " green" sfs tree climate change Grant's then??
Didn't realise it was that flexible. What I’ll try to do this autumn is drill as much cereals as health weather and time allows and what I can’t get done I’ll bung into SFI.
I won’t apply till after autumn drilling. Then next year I’ll update areas again after autumn drilling. I might not even need any SFI. Cropping still has the edge over SFI, as long it’s not OSR or beans which like all crops are now completely unsupported so not worth the risk.Didn't realise it was that flexible.
I don’t think those who carry on cropping on reasonable ground will lose out by not taking up SFI. It’s swapping apples for pears.I think DEFRA are soon going to look very silly. I can see a situation where some individual farms have a high value SFI agreement, then DEFRA run out of budget so stop offering agreements to new applicants.
It will be a right unfair affair.
