Can't believe the openness of that calf shed!

You are quite right sid when the beast from the east arrived it got everywhere. But apart from that the shed has been great. Hutches along the front outside and the hutch pens under the roof to keep the feeding and pen dry. Single pens along the back wall, 25' in with 3 walls round them from West, North and South where our weather comes from 99% of the time. Perhaps some galebreakers above the hutchs along the front would be a sensible idea for next winter

Even our fully enclosed sheds had a good few inches of snow in them [emoji57] as it was blowing in through any gap there was

Can not believe after having a good screw as an mp, his redundancy from being an mp, then the pension, then the pension top up in the House of Lords that they pay him to be on a tv program. It beggars belief.

Whilst I’m not disagreeing with you, the programme is good infotainment.

Any viewers will soon turn off if all they see the shepherd doing is wandering around the shed and being patient. Viewers want to see lambs born and thats what they’re getting.

The ewes would undoubtedly be better left and I hope they do show some natural births, but is there any real harm in showing the Nicholson’s assisting?

I would say the potential harm is to the animals involved.
