Going to look at a 3230 tomorrow 7000 hrs, I have a good idea of what to look for...difs and 4ws, prop play and brakes, head and exhaust issues, spool vales ect...

Just wondering if there is anything else that I need to concider that I may be overlooking? Bit of a Fastrac purv but not my area I’m more a 2170/3185 man

Cheers all

I know that much, it’s very very tidy and pretty well looked after by all accounts. I just need to make sure it’s not a dog and been abused like some I have driven

I think you answerd your own question, if it’s very very tidy it has not been abused , take it for test run and check it drives good and all gears go in and stay in and no vibrations at speed etc etc . But a tidy manual one of them ,, buy it !

Common faults are.
Electric spools
Brake disc ware
Hand brake
Range change sensors
Check the steering for play and tight spots as the steering joints need lots of Grease
Other than that they are good old buses , what size wheels is it on ?

Everything is repairable

You could say check the v link bush, but it's easy enough to change.
Check the props but again easy to replace.
Check the solenoids but they're bolt on.
Vibrating suspension, change front dampers
Hard suspension, change accumulators
5th gear would be the obvious problem but that's fixable by the right man at the fraction of the cost of a Vario.
