Another thread of hearsay.

Anyone on here own one that's had the gearbox or front diff fail?

Never had the gearbox fail but mine’s had a diff - although I didn’t take a selfie with the parts so I can’t prove it......
But, the dealer had it up and running again within 24hrs, and I could have had a loan machine for that 24hrs if I’d wanted it.

Every machine breaks down at some point, it’s how the manufacturer and the dealer deal with it thats important, and JCB try really hard.
We also run JDs and MFs and JCB backup is far superior to those.

The front diff went on mine, simply a case of shearing the bolts inside the front axle. Take out the drain plug and bits of broken bolt fall out. Can't remember exactly how many bolts there were but the modified part had twice as many. Had a few niggles on mine but jcb been first class.

Mines had a diff go. But that’s all it’s had in 2000 hours. Broke Friday at 5 and collected sat at12. I tell a lie it had an exhaust bracket crack. No reliability issues here. (Yet).

Front hubs. Pulling 18000ltr tankers ,no front weights. On 18 t trailers now. Problems were within a month of new but have been ok since. One went into limp mode the other day but heard talk of head gasket but it was back a couple days later and never heard what was actual problem.
All replaced JD 6210R s and Jd 6215 R s. Drivers like the confort but say they are plain in cab and not so good loaded but better coming home empty ! The firm also had 4 new Fendt 828 s in May, think all drivers like them over the replaced JD s.
I ve driven both for short time and rate both but the Fendts are far better in the field.
