AHA here, we were the other way round, had permission from the landlord for me to be tenant while my parents were still in the farmhouse. Key was everyone talking and having the final agreement written down. I’m in the farmhouse now.

all agreement differ but if it does not say the tennent has to live in the house it can say it needs to be someone who works on the farm
if joint tenants and tenancy says tenent must live in farm house then should be no problem


get PROPER advice Tfa or nfu

if a member nfu call first will give you advice read your agreement first and read the clauses a few times so you understand them and can remember the detail

As long as a member who’s name is on the FBT resides in the farmhouse it’s fine Probably worth letting your landlord know that it’s happening/happened though out of courtesy.
