Feed Formulation vs. Ration formulation

Hi,

This is hopefully a very simple question:

Is "feed formulation" the same as "ration formulation" in the literature or is there a difference?

Huge difference.
Feed formulation (to me) is the mix of ingredients in an off the shelf bought product, usually cubed or pelleted.
A ration formulation takes in analysis of the other feeds available, including silages and grazed grass for cattle, and matches the whole intake to need with a bespoke product, straights or custom made.
