Feeding sheep in a yard outside

I've got one shed with 80 in, it's an old barn so my only option is to run the gauntlet. I have to battle them every time. Wouldn't fancy doing it with 200!

Years back, shed space was limited and we couldn't squeeze more than 250 in the sheds, so we had to keep topping them up with weekly lambing batches. I used to drive the sheep out into the yard, then run ewe rolls round the outside of the shed on the straw, before letting them back in. It was certainly a lot easier than messing about with troughs.
However, whichever way you do it, there is going to be a scrum running through the gate and the chances of knocking themselves on gate posts, or getting bowled over in the rush.

These days, I only house up to 150 and feed them from a central, raised feed passage (from when it used to house cattle). I throw buckets of rolls out from that passage onto the straw. Certainly better than running the sheep through doorways or running the gauntlet with a feed bag, if you can do it.
