Fence puller

What price is a decent fence puller monkey puller I think they are called selling them on ebay for £20 are they any good at that price seen some over £100,how many do you need to do pull a fence together never used a chain one.

Mine has no springs and is from circa 1960’s but does a fantastic job. Just use it on the bottom wire with a 4ft bar sledged into the floor to anchor off. Word of advice, get some 15mm rope and put knots to form loops in the rope every 12”, have 4-5 loops in a row. It means you don’t have to be deadly accurate with the placement of the bar or have to move the bar once you’ve got it Down to depth.

I always used a ratchet puller rather than chains. Never broke it yet

I got mine from Mcveigh. One chain strainer/monkey strainer for ht barb and line wire and their boundary clamp kit for stock net. The proper tools make the job so much easier, should last for decades as well

I have two sets of these for doing netting one top one bottom and can’t fault them.
I have a couple of lengths of chain so I can anchor to something with one end of the puller.

one top one bottom is what we have used for best results so far but told that a netting clamp is well worthwhile to get an even strain overall
