Fendt 514 / 516 series experiences

Looking at a new Fendt 514/516 at the moment. Would be replacing a JD. Surprisingly beating John Deere 6130R Autopower on price.

Has anyone on here got a 514 or 516? Has it been reliable? Are the Deutz engines in these tractors reliable?

Lovely tractor and you definitley wont be disapointed, I was looking at a 516 but decided on a Valtra N174 in the end which arrived a few weeks ago much smarter bus than the 500 series looks much less like a toy with a lot more options available. I wouldn't worry about purchase price it's irrelevant if buying new it's about personal preferance and cost of ownership

I drive a 516 S4,it’s a super tractor to drive and doesn’t seem short on power,my only bug bare is having to stop whatever you are doing in the middle of a job and do a regen when it needs one.

We have had a 516 Power on demo this week it is a better pulling tractor than a MF 6480 6 pot tractor, we liked it a lot, good wheel grip nice on the road and very compact

516 here for 3 years, no issues other than a dodgy filter but that was,t tractors fault, a pocket rocket with plenty of power and compact, and you don,t want to be a fat bloke when servicing as you won,t fit between the front wheels to get to engine compartment.

We’ve had a 516 power plus since the spring. It’s had a couple of sensors on the adblue. It’s a very nice tractor, it’ll be comparable in size to 6130r, plenty of power. Cab is excellent, a lot more space than the old Fendt but only one door!!
The deutz engine performs well, but they have had reliability issues but I wouldn’t think any worse than Deere’s. If only they would fit a Sisu or FPT in them!!

We ran a 514 for 4 years and got on well with it only 1 or 2 problems that were minor except a stepper motor packed up on the transmission but Fendt picked up the tab for that. The main reason we left Fendt was we lost our dealer.
