With the price of Fendts and the reputation they're supposed to have for reliability, an 8 year/8000hr warranty should be standard!

They probably could.......wearing parts, electrical systems transmissions and pumps excluded of course. Not withstanding damage caused by operator error and all servicing would need to be carried out on time by a Fendt engineer using genuine Fendt parts and oils

Enough to cover the Vario. The new dealer beside you Treemover charged €18 k for a Vario recently . He wasn't sparing it.

Mine was €13 incl fitting and vat I think. Could have been a tad less. Was that for a twin setup as in the 900 series?
I’m hoping to spend less than €18k on a tractor!!

I heard OBriens 828 engine gave and a mouthwatering 30k engine replacement option, I believe they went a rebuild for 6-8k?
Above is rumour, but what happened to factory discounts on parts.

Any idea of hours on that 700 James? Out of warranty obviously;

That’s a fair point, but I can’t remember how many farmers drove range rovers as I grew up.

That said, 2 of the wealthiest fellas I ever shook hands with had cars and phones older than mine; but there wives were upgraded at some point.
They both said never buy depreciating assets!

It's no bargain, but it's not that out of the way for a full spec tractor. I would count them as in between 57 and 67 massey and would think a decent spec 67 would be dearer than 75k.
Biggest problem with all the small ranges for us is lack of power. A 5715 would be awesome(y)

Agree, I seen a 313 at the highland show and liked it but I wouldn’t of called it a small tractor. Took photos but only have this one for some reason :scratchhead:

Expensive but It will be a fantastic bit of kit.

With the price of an average sized tractor (150hp) being £80K+ the importance of a warranty is being over looked by manufacturers (in my opinion) Offering 1 year warranty on new tractors is scandalous, even 3 year is not that impressive when you weight it up against the price tag. Not sure what the current price would be for a high spec 700 Fendt, but if that price included an 8 year/8000hr warranty as standard, I'd buy a Fendt over a John Deere, CNH, Massey, Etc for the piece of mind of owning a tractor for 8 years without the surprise of high repair bills, only the expected costs of servicing and eventually tyres further down the line.
