As above not a bash just wondering bit of an influx of Fendt's in the area with contractor running several 900's, is it normal for such a loud turbo whistle to the point you wince if they go by flat out on the road?
It's worse than the international 56's and 7920 neighbour used to have.

The problem arises when they stop whistling and make a loud bang and leave there oil all over the road I believe and the 25k repair bill that comes in the post a month afterwards:facepalm:

Mine whistles really bad for about a year.
I assumed turbo problems.
However the mechanic says it's common for the silencer to cause it.
He swopped another tractor pipe on to mine and the whistle went.
Unfortunately he swopped it back and I still have a whistle :whistle:
When I can get the tame mechanic to concentrate on work rather than his new nomadic lifestyle we are going to cut it open and find out why it does it!

Asked the local dealer mechanic about the talk of engines repairs being 25k, his reply was maybe if it was in warranty it might come to 25k but it would be a lot less otherwise.

Neighbour has bought a used NH6070 with a straight pipe and you can hear it howling and whistling from half a mile down the road.Would get a bit tiresome

:) And exactly WTF is wrong with a whistle - I love mine - perhaps you are modern men and slightly effeminate ? Or just bat 4 the other side ????

Ursus with the aftermarket bolt on turbo's (fitted by the importer) were the same (straight pipe out the top), always though it was to help with gear changing.
Fendt cant use that excuse ..............
