Fendt transmission problems?

I read here often of Fendt transmission problems then been sent to main dealership to be fixed then soon after a rather large invoice delivered by postman or possibly the bill having to be paid before tractor is released
The point I am making is I am surprised that no one has started up independently of main dealer fixing fendt transmission as I am sure he would not be short of work

As most things now the seals etc inside will be under license and therefore cannot be supplied or produced by seals companies. A lot of master and slave cylinders have been the same for years and years aswell.

I am on my 4th fendt as “my tractor “ that’s well over 25000 hours of driving. In that time the only repair on a gearbox has been 1 sensor. I do have a second hand 716 that had a gearbox repair before I bought it and it’s now on 16000 hours so I am happy with fendt reliability.

The JD 7930 we had did have to have a new hydro pump but the less said about that tractor the better

Everything breaks and it is always expensive whichever make, I would always stick to the main dealer for repairs.

If your spending money to have it repaired you may as well do it right, genuine parts and manufacturers trained mechanics, plus a warranty on the repair. What's to lose?

Agree, unless it is on some older tractor that you have run a long time, in which case, a specialist independent company might be worth taking a chance on. I do believe in proper and planned preventative maintenance though, not just change filters and hope everything runs to 20,000 hours. Life rarely works that way.
