Ferguson lift lock

Saw a fergie at the weekend with a lift lock on the back, A homemade one but still effective. I know keverneland made one and I'm sure I saw a new one being made. Just wondered if anyone had one?

What is the reason for the lock ? What is the advantage?

Holds the lift arms up at full height so they cannot drop down by themselves, I know they shouldn't anyway but a useful little thing.

Yeah I have done this before but wanted something more permanent

Just folds back out way when you are using hydraulics, I did think about making one but for that price hardly seems worth it
