Hi guys-got a stack of firewood ready for the sawbench but it's needing a new belt. Anyone got any suggestions as to where I'd find a replacement flat drive belt?
Thanks in advance.

Seem to remember reading that you can use the tread off a 14" tyre. Time to trawl the silage pit with a piece of string you've measured around the pulleys!

We have a flat cotton belt on one of the machines at work and have no problem replacing it. Any belting supplier should be able to supply you. Just give them the dimensions ie. length and width and get them to put and alligator clip joint on it. I assume that the saw bench is driven from a pulley on the tractor.

Thanks for the replay guys, didn't realise it was still a common thing to use. Will need to whip what's left off before it snaps and take it in to the local belt suppliers.

Grey fergie sawbench belt ?
Set up as original .?

Got mine from a c belting if i recall correct
Good firm knew exactly what the job was
CONTINUOUS belt way better than the clip jointed ones

Is there a simple formula for working out the exact length of a continuous belt? I'm thinking something to do with pi and the size of the pullies and the distance from centre to centre, but knowing my maths, I would cock it up.
