Good Evening all,

My friend and i are looking for permission within Surrey to ferret your land.
We have a years experience as we started last season and have a couple of ferrets with experience.
We offer a complete free service and respect the land we are allowee to use.

We have one rule and thats our ferrers never get lwdt behind so no threat to livestock.

Please do get in touch.

We are currently based in Dorking and Godalming but with own transport, we do not shoot and only use purse and long nets with any rabbit being caught being fes purely to our own ferrets

Thanks

Perhaps my question will seem strange, but I have long been thinking about adopting two ferrets. I really like these animals, it seems to me that they can be wonderful pets. I found a lot of information on the Internet about how to take care of ferrets correctly (there is a lot of useful information on this portal https://bestferretguide.com ), but I want the ferrets to live in our barn, because we already have a cat and two dogs in our house. Tell me, is it possible to keep a ferret in a barn in a large cage? Wherever I look for information about frets, it says only how to keep the ferret in an apartment or house.

ferrets are great animals and clean....sadly they're often kept badly that leads to their bad reputation

in a large enclosure they are clean and not smelly

ferrets don't like getting over hot or overcrowded..this makes them grumpy and that's when they bite
.
they must be kept secure because they are natural born killers
.
they don't gnaw which helps but wedmesh should be used not chicken wire

Ours lived in the house during the day and went to bed in their hutch for the night.
If a door was shut they always tried to dig up the floor to get through and this resulted in some very odd marks in the upstairs carpets. Only a fert owner will know if they see.
They are gentle creatures unless they need to pull you out of bed on a Sunday then they sink their teeth into your nose and pull. This is seriously F’ing painful😢

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
