But it was said that nitram was being sold abroad for less than it is here, so my thought is they are still riding on the back of last years high wheat price , and with barley now at £116 x farm and wheat around the £140 ( some £55 ton back on last year) when the forward contracts for selling grain are used up and grain will be priced on the open market I think/hope the price will fall back to stimulate sales.
I believe it was referring to Nitram being sold abroad a few years back when they had a lot of stock. I am not aware of it still going on..... I think it was the year it was in the £170's/t
