Maybe. Do you want wheat to crash too? I imagine the two WILL be related.
It actually makes little difference really, but there's a good chance that all this expensive nitrogen etc, will be growing crops that are considerably less in value than currently.
I'd sooner reasonable prices for both things myself, much easier to predict than boom and bust.
There is a general feeling of poor crops globally affecting supply currently, that can, and will change very quickly when a good harvest, or even the potential of, is reported on social media.

Added in to the mix is covid supply issues, and traders trying to make money.
When something else looks better again, grains will be dropped like a hot potato.

I just chased up (again) my ‘August delivery’ Nitram, seeing as they only have an hour or two left…

I was told that CF have been out of stock for a couple of weeks and it will be at least another 10 days. As it was ordered at £298, and current quote is £365, I didn’t cancel it.

CAN (27%N) is £298 now, which will have to do for my autumn requirements.

Incidentally, urea was quoted at £405, which must be a better buy than Nitram at £365? Delivery date a bit unknown though…
