What's everyone's prediction for new season prices?
Unless there is some sort of discount to current prices I can't see them shifting much.

If this is deliberate market manipulation, could it be a bit if an own goal by the fert industry? If a lot discover they can reduce inputs by 10 - 20 % and not have too much yield loss? Or use other forms of N to complement their normal bagged product their market could shrink by that 10 - 20% permanently.
Or an own goal , if we are short , which we nearly always are in some fashion , goal posts will be moved by importers etc to allow for produce of a less ethical origin to make up the shortage , let’s not forget the daft government adviser just before Covid broke out basically saying we can be like Singapore and import all food stuffs , we don’t need farming , thankfully he is resigned to the history books but when push comes to show are government would never let there be a shortage of basic foods if its for sale somewhere around the globe.Own goal?
Selling less for a (much) bigger margin can be VERY good business.
My thinking is the margins won't stay the same but the market may never recover. Let's face it every man and his dog will be trying to capitalise on current marginsOwn goal?

I'll be hoping to buy urea with a 6.
There maybe plenty of appetite to mop up all uk production. imported is currently being sold at a loss because they have to be less than cf. That will make importers reconsider buying any more.Prices now are fert from expensive gas , price should go down soonish , lack of appetite from buyers will also help
With the granular fertiliser prices so high, has anyone used liquid fertiliser on grassland? I've asked for information off the seller , but I don't know if there has to be a lot of grass before it's sprayed on. Can it be applied when sheep have taken the grass till it's bare?
