heard 20.10.10 in west wales collected 625 to 635, can27 looked even dearer at about 600

I’ve heard that a lot over the years but the fact remains that you cannot have a profit larger than your turnover. Up until now subs for the majority have been a large percentage of income and often the majority of the total profit, without being a real part of the turnover of the actual business. So for many farms who have turned a reasonable profit from a low turnover, say £200,000 a year are in for some shock soon. I make a modest living without sub but turnover an awful lot of money to do it (cattle)

No, but my stance has changed over the last couple of weeks from not wanting a grain of anything spare to making sure I’ve got enough so I’ve bought more
