I’m sure you’ll all correct me if I’m wrong ( most probably am ) but I worked out £700/t AN compared to the £300 I paid this year was equivalent to a £25/t lift in grain prices. Therefore working on an average £150/t on a 3t/a ( 7.5t/ha ) crop then £180 if you are allowing a bit for financing it would be ok 🤷🏻‍♂️

Right up to a point - except that we have sharp rises in base fert and diesel to price in as well (also general inflation at 10% or so).

So if hopefully the war comes to a quicker end(Another Russian warship on fire) then
where do fertiliser prices go from there?
Sell it to me southwestmassive. :)
Given the current state of affairs I can’t see governments welcoming putin with open arms and dropping sanctions.
Huge holes is supply, no Russian product for any countries, lack of imported product for the uk with a 500k tonne hole from CF
Looks like prices will come down 😂

Let's just see this Indian tender.

Can't help but think Putin is going to play an unexpected hand during the Russian WW2 'Victory Day' celebrations next Monday.

It's rumoured that the Russians are planning a 'victory' march through Mariupol. If something happens like the parade is wiped out using western intelligence and a few guided missiles, then we might see an escalation (and then some) in both the war and in fert prices next week...

If something happened to Putin or he was removed along with an end to the war then certain governments would soon start trading with Russia again .It might just happen looking at his failures and hopefully soon. It's a long time to new season fertiliser will actually be needed and events could be a game changer to the energy market.Perhaps I'm just being optimistic instead of my glass half empty. :)

You sound like CF.
another day; another dollar

I was just talking to a buddy en Francais. Apparently, Yara will bump up prices over there next week by, "...at least €20/mt..."

would mean €800/mt BULK CPT equivalent to GBP £705/mt bagged delivered in the good ol' UK

Why would the only UK domestic producer hurry to the market today? Better off exporting it.

How long has he been in power? It was hard enough getting rid of Tony Blair. Sure the world will forget about all the atrocities putin has committed. All wishful thinking tbh.

Govts are trading with Russia. Receipts from gas etc are plenty higher than before the special operation.

Well at least CF etc, now know farmers are happy and eager to pay £750 urea equivalent, and think they've had a bargain, and finance it for nearly a year before use; and so they have no reason at all carefully to consider where to start off new season prices. We have done the work for them.
