Heard it said today that manufacture of AN uses more gas than manufacture of urea.

Hadn't considered it before but assuming that is true it shows how mad the "AN=good, urea=bad" narrative really is.

Each ton of Urea will need 930 cubic meter of natural gas.

The process uses fossil natural gas, which leads to 2.6 metric tons of life cycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per metric ton of ammonia produced.


Not sure how to compare those 2 figures.

They're going to struggle to shift it at those prices with the price of grain and milk.
