Hi there. I have always fancied one of these but I am a bit worried that there's no tilt facility and therefore on uneven ground you need the boom really high and vulnurable to uneven spread. Is this the case?

I've never found it to be a problem, i guess it depends on the type of terrain you have. Its no Horsch leeb in terms of boom control but like i say i have never found it to be an issue.

Good machines in their day. But don't ever connect the quantron box up the wrong way round or you'll wreck it . Good for Avadex but modern twin disc speaders so much simpler and more reliable these days for just fertilisers. Even for Urea.

I'd go for a decent 2nd hand Kuhn twin disc with a weigher if all you need to spread is fertilisers for that sort of money.

Sorry to jump in here (I have no interest in the sale) but in defence of the Aero and its doubters it is an amazing tool for applying pretty much any grade of fert/pellets/granules with great accuracy, very little overlap and the ability to go in winds that you would not dream of taking a spinner out in. Hence their revival in trailed form. Yes they are fiddly but it only takes 30 mins tops to clean them. Spread fert when it's windy, spray when it's still.

I'll get back in my box now.
