If you get the grant how long it the window to buy it and claim back? Can't seem to see the timescale anywhere online.
On this theme, when you buy it before you claim it back must all of the money have left the account? Or can you show them the invoice and the machine? For example, if youre spending 30k on a drill, pay 15, then pay the other 15 when the grant comes through.

No, needs paid in full before grant is paid. They require a copy of the invoice and your bank statement.

Who's idea was that... bloody awful for cashflow!
Better for cashflow than not getting any grant back at all. I’d imagine its a way of making sure the seller gets their money & the buyer isn’t going to get themselves in a financial hole they can’t get out of. I’m sure if you spoke to your bank they’d be willing to arrange a short term loan to cover the period of waiting for the grant.

FETF50 Variable rate controller for seed drills, sprayers and fertiliser spreaders.

Does anyone know for certain if this has to include the actual hardware to adjust the metering unit or can it be a variable rate controller in the cab. i.e. an Isobus screen with variable rate capability to control a new drill for example! IMHO you could interpret the wording of the rules either way.
Will probably need to send another enquiry email but just asking in case someone has already done so.

Probably to stop people thieving that cash and never buying the item
Yes, I understand paying after, with invoice and proof of the machine in the yard. Would be nice if there was some flexability for where people could afford the item with the grant but couldn't without. I know several people for whom this is the case.
