RPA previously guided possibly it will take them 8 weeks before being able to announce who is successful, but whether that is from each closing date, or from the most recent date, I can't recall.

Nothing on it being approved but I've had the request for proof of funds as well and nothing since.
Email from the bank manager sorted that hopefully. I didn't want to show them a bank statement, the cynical side of me just thinking it's a way for them to get an insight into the financial state of UK ag.

See previous posts, it's as from the closing date for applications, but what is unclear is whether that means from each of the 2 closing dates, or just from the last one....

I have had the request for a letter from a chartered accountant to prove we could fund the items. I sent them a bank statement showing the required funds necessary and the cheeky gits still want a letter from my accountant. I had the same problem with another grant I did last year and the bank statement worked that time and it was for a bigger grant.

I buy things with cash these days... being bribed to buy the wrong kit for my farm just because of a grant is driven by bank lenders... No chance...
I noticed that the big drones require Home Office approval to prevent re export... wow!!

The question is, do you order the seed drill on the assumption that you'll get the grant?

Or wait till you get the grant and find they can't deliver before the autumn?

Ours is ordered but totally on the understanding that it is reliant on grant approval.
Provisional order in to confirm once we get grant approval.

If it’s a no the existing drill will do autumn. Then have a think what we do next.

If it’s a yes and new drill don’t turn up in time the existing drill will do Autumn.

Existing drill is staying regardless. So not that worried.

Although I do think the RPAs timescales aren’t particularly helpful on the drilling side of things.

Has anyone put in for a drill and been turned down In previous years?
Heard of someone applying for a drill plus a lower scoring item and being turned down because it lowered the average score on the application, was approved the following year when applying for just the drill. The drill is usually high enough scoring to be approved but I'm sure there's the odd one that gets thrown out on a technicality.

Agree the RPA timescales aren't helpful for anyone, but if they just said what date it would be we could all work with it, even if it was still a month or so into the future...how does keeping silent help anyone?
