Few fastrac questions.

As mentioned in another thread, I ve just bought a 07 reg 2155 Fastrac for my sins !!
Just picked it up on Friday but I ve currently not got a operators book. Anyhow ,stopped off on way home (25 mile trip) and got a 0027 error code . According to internet search, it's a transmission calabration fault so guess it's a dealer lap top job ? It has now gone yesterday though !
Main questions are:
1) if you look back at front axle and the steering rams , steering rods, although none are loose or obviously worn, the plastic or rubber inserts on the ball joints are all degraded or broken. Is this a normal and minor issue or would you experienced owners get them replaced asap ? I guess they are meant to keep out water and dust to avoid wear on the ball joints?
2) Both axles have a rubber "half moon" bump stop missing although one was sitting on the axle, track rods and seems to just have unstuck from a flat metal plate bolted to the axle. Would I be able to stick it back on and if so any suggestions of a glue ? Guess I could get new ones via JCB or any suggestions.
Seems to be ok otherwise. Got underneath and greased uj s and only took a couple pumps for grease to come out so looks like its had some attention. Slight weep of oil from transmission but not enough to drip to floor.
Thanks in anticipation.

Transmission calibration should be do able without laptop, it's not that different to a CNH tractor transmission calibration, ie hold certain buttons at startup, set revs and let it calibrate. Unfortunately it's been a long time since I did 1 so can't remember exact procedure.
