Fiat tractors

Hi
I am looking for some cheap grunt for a few jobs. I don't really need the HP but more the weight and traction. I have been looking at some fiats but know nothing about them.
The machines would be F140 or the earlier 120/140-90.
Questions... Are they any good, what to look for and what's the spares situation like re CNH?
Thanks

The backend on the F series is basically the same as a 60/TM series classic New Holland. They are good tractors, main problem I know of is electrics. Also try and get a later one with the splitter on a button (I think the older ones where a seperate lever for splitter)

Was the splitter not on main gear lever and you knock it to the side not sure now,
I thought backend was same as the TSA series, but I'm no NH but I do love a good f140 though.

Cabs are prone to rust, paint is crap to its a powder coat type so expect rusting, parts are thining out but if not abused and worked hard nothing oball should give an issue
You would be better asking for advice on fiat pages on Facebook re parts
All in all they're a great tractor

You could be right about the splitter, I know on the 90series you pushed the shuttle to the side to work the splitter

I know where there is a 180 90 but the Frost has done the block. Had it going and I don't think the Frost was the main problem. It sounds terrible. This is gonna sound like pure hassle to most of you but I like tinkering around. Does anyone know if there is an iveco truck with the same 8.1litre engine... ? ?
With the price of second hand tractors now this project has become more feasible.
The rest of the tractor is in ok shape.
I'm told these are becoming collectable but that for something original. I want this baby for pushing grass with a front buckrake..
I think she'll be awesome.. ?

My teenage years were spent in a 880.5, great tractor, nothing could touch it in the silage clamp
Ive just been watching the 180 90 on YouTube.. Some snort off them.
Unusually for a big tractor she has a 540 and 1000rpm pto. I had a g170 and she only had 1000 pto. We have a case mx with front linkage and she can shift grass.. Powerful gruntability from the Cummins. But pushing grass is not just about speed. You must put it down, you need weight. Especially if the trailers are coming fast. If I can get this monster reawakened and hang a tonne or two on the back of her.. We'll test a few silo walls this season..

Put up some videos of the Fiat if you can.
