Fibre Cement Cedral Lap 'Fake' Wood Weatherboarding - Any good?

Has anyone used this material to replace / substitute for traditional feather edge weatherboarding:

Quite fancy it for tidying up the end of a modern building nearer traditional ones but hopefully with far less maintenance (mainly painting)? Opinions welcome - thanks.

Sounds interesting, I've just requested some samples. I love the look of timber cladding on buildings; like you say though the maintenance isn't always ideal. Will this material host lichen and look less "timber-like" in a few years?

We've just clad two new houses with it. The original houses we demolished were timber clad so planning requested like for like visually.

Have it on part of my house, 4 years in & no problems here, no maintenance etc sold it to me & would defo use again cheers dh

Just curious but how do you actually "nail" it to the wall?

Stuff I saw had a clip system you fixed to the wall then slotted the boards in

Yes we clipped it onto the metal runners they supply, or screw onto wooden battens.
We sent our plans & they did a quote & sent the right amount of stuff etc which was spot on to be fair
