Finding a water spring

We don't know the exact location of the water spring that feeds 3 houses and cattle sheds. Never dries up so is a good source. What's the best way to locate the source? Ideally not wanting to dig up as been warned we could lose it. Sometimes get dirty water so hoping to solve this issue. Anybody use cameras up pipe? Some kind of radar from above would be ideal? Any advice appreciated.

Had a go myself and with diviners but want to know factually really as it's not on our land so does cause some problems as need to enforce no spreading zones etc

Would be worth installing a UV disinfection lamp on the water supply.

Bit of a long shot but we had a brick lined well suddenly appear in an arable field, looked at a Victorian OS map on NLS and it was marked very accurately.

They also have estate maps for Scotland, so maybe further detail, worth a butchers as the maps are very interesting anyway
