Flat bed trailer/ Sheep float

Hi, I have a 20ft Houghton container with sheep decks in, and I’m looking for new flat bed trailer for putting it on to and also I can use for carting bales mainly on own farm in the summer. Tractor has 40k box
Was thinking of Stewart GX 10 or 12 with all the high speed running gear with the smaller tyres (R19.5), hydraulic brakes. or other makes/models ???
Was really wanting 24/26ft for carting bales and could possibly put quad on the front of trailer for working with livestock away from home when I have the box on.
thoughts?

Sounds like a good plan you wont get better trailers than Stewart. Everyone I no who have bought a trailer to mount a container on end up buying another flat trailer pretty quickly to save putting the box on and off between silage cuts etc.

Yes, will be interesting to see how it goes, like the look and Spec of the Stewart Trailers.
Not sure if a sprung drawbar will be of any benefit for another £1500 or it would do fine without, I’m not a contractor, just using it for my own use between our farms, local mart and a few hundred silage bales to lead in at home each year.

I haven't got one on mine and i don't really crave one but I've got front and cab suspension

Thanks, Yes our tractor got front and Cab suspension so hoping wouldn’t need sprung drawbar. never had a flat bed trailer before or had a sheep box on one so interested in peoples options before I buy.

Not to bad for hills, seen a few short containers on decks going about and they’ve put a couple of full 1000ltre IBC tanks at the front so that could be a possibility?? Might find buying 2 trailers will be the answer in the long run but only have the funds to buy one atm, and thought I’d get the longer deck just to see if it was going to be possible to do both jobs.

I have towed trailers with and without and never really notice a difference. I heard from someone that if you have cab suspension you shouldn't have a sprung draw bar but that's probably a load of rubbish, most modern trailers have a sprung drawbar so must be worth having.

I bought new and decided spring draw bar was too dear and didn’t want it , it was deliverd with one so just shows you 1500 eh ? they make no difference imo but some swear by them can’t say I notice any difference myself.
