FM-750 Troubleshooting

I have a Case tractor with a FM-750 GPS system, IMD-600 T3 controller and a SAM-200 EZ steer setup. Yesterday night I was planting and the EZ steer was working fine then it started jerking slightly and stopped functioning all together. I can still engage it and when I do the steering wheel gets tighter to turn and if I turn in the direction in which it should turn to stay on the swath you can feel it trying to steer in that direction in a light jerking manor, I completely restored it to defaults, checked all cable connections and power cables, and the FM-750 still shows it connected and healthy with 14.1 volts to the motor and controller, I have tried adjusting the sensitivity between 50-150% as well as online aggressiveness with no luck, now that I reset it to factory defaults it asks to setup the right and left turn degree, when I speed up to engage it, It still will not turn, has anyone ever had this problem willing to help me figure out what is wrong with it? Thank you in advance for your time

Completely guessing here, but almost wonder whether the splines on the steering column have sheared meaning the motor is functioning normally but can't get a grip on the steering shaft enough to turn the wheels....but when you turn the steering wheel it has a bit of a helping hand in the direction it's trying to move.

That sounds horribly like the motor has had it.
Do you mean the ez pilot, not ez steer. ez pilot is the motor in the middle, ez steer is tge motor with a foam wheel on the edge of the steering wheel.

yeah it is an ez-pilot, technical support at case hasn't helped much other then wanting to send a tech at 135$ per hour, I have no trouble installing or understanding the system, I was just curious of which part I should buy to fix the issue due to both being so expensive, I guess I should start with the motor and see if it corrects the issue, or at least search around on forums for similar issues before I commit to buying another motor, it could very well be the IMD-600 as well

Stevo thank you for your reply, I completely took the unit apart earlier today to test it without it connected to the tractor, it seems the motor still isn't functioning properly with no load on it whatsoever, and the gears on the steering column seem to be in great shape, I read a forum earlier talking about issues with the controller at around ~1000 usage hours, I purchased this tractor a few months ago and the unit has 846 used hours according to the FM-750, so I'm not sure if I should replace the IMD-600 or SAM-200 at this point, I may take both to the dealership for troubleshooting if they can do that, or at best buy both and try each to discover the problem and return the other
