Foot bathing.

Quick question. Has anybody heard of or is Adding fairy liquid to their foot bath to help the solution stick to the cows feet?
If yes does it work and how much?
Discussed this with our vet a few weeks ago, according to her you alternate the bath, foot bath solution for a few days then fairy liquid for a few days, according to her it does nothing towards treating lameness, but simply washes their feet inbetween footbath solutions, there by helping prevent new infections and lowering the cost of footbathing overall.

I do a week on Copper sulphate then a week on formaldehyde, cleaning the footbath out twice a day and refilling. I put the fairy liquid in with every new bath. I think it keeps the feet cleaner. Who knows.

Has anyone ever thought of just trying a week or longer on Just fairy liquid if it keeps the feet cleaner and see what happens rather than continually using formalin? We only footbath once every 10-14 days in housed months using formalin and don’t do anything when out grazing,I just put it down to auto scrapers keeping feet clean during winter months
