What does anyone recommend for doing cows feet ? Is there a basic roll over crush that could run off the tractor hydraulics suited more for farmers than professional foot trimmers on the market?currently using an iae crush with foot trimming gear but it's not that good for the front feet, Thanks

May be worth a chat with the folks at DP Agri.

I actually have a hydraulic upright crush I will be looking to sell. It may be over and above what you are after as it is a contractors crush. I would be asking £7k. Needs new tyres but I would pay for those.

I'd recommend an angle grinder and knobbly copper grinding disc for the front feet. We've just got a standard crush and front feet used to be a nightmare with knives especially the inside claw that was nigh on impossible to trim. I think they're about £20 from dairyspares and they shave the hoof of nice and slowly. Still use knives for the back feet but for the occasional front foot I think they're brilliant.

Hello my name is Mark Clements from Hoof and Hide Farm Services. The crush we are selling is new to the market and was launched in Belfast at the Winter Fair 2014. I am a professional hoof trimmer and my customers were asking me to recommend a crush. There was nothing I saw that I would want to use until now. I got one for my family farm to test and try it out and now I am selling and using the crush I sell. If you would like any more info please give me a shout or ring for a chat. We have sold 17 so far and the feed back is positive. It is a simple, affordable, strong crush and importantly holds the cow secure so feet are rigid front and back to trim safely. It costs £1850 + vat thank you.

Thanks for interest shown. On our website there should be three videos under the tab hooftrimming crush but these are on you tube if you type in hoof and hide. The weight is 240kg approx. Anything else let me know.
