And yes we do do some preventive footbathing about 400 L of formalin a year or 40 trips through the foot bath.
Most footbathing is done during wet weather to help keep feet hard for distance walking
We would only footbathing for a working week during winter as part of heifer training through the parlour. Plus a few days during March if the weathers dodgy during calving.
