Return pipe I'd saySeeing as yours has no filler pipe, my guess is someone has bodged something up either to fill the backend with oil easily, or a return pipe for oil to go back to the back end.

Plug with a chain on the flat face coupler will be trailer brakes. The home made tap thing will be a return pipe.I'll have to have a better look at it and try to work out if the tap is on the flow or return. The thing on the left is like a plug on a chain with a flat face coupler behind it. I'll put a better picture on after I've fed the kids.
Yes.Thanks, thats some more mysteries solved. On the partly chopped off picture top left, is number 2 a foot throttle?
I have this in my cab but it doesn't currently seem to be connected to anything and is on my list for further investigation.

No photo but stick feed pipe in bottom spool and pull back spool lever in cab and adjust till it stays locked in.put return into filling pipe on back of tractor.this must be a free flow return.if there is nowhere to fix return get a local engineer to make one for youSorry for very late reply just picked up on this thread by any chance have you a pic where you have plumbed in for feed on spools not sure If I’m going to have the right spot thanks
