Had it split to put a new clutch in everything back together, works fine.but the battery doesn't charge and no ign light on the dash (Have checked, the bulb does work). Oil and air cleaner warning lights work.
The alternator has 3 wires going into a block conector, and a single wire going onto a spade connector.
If I take the wire of off of the oil pressure switch on the engine block the oil and air lights on the dash go out.
Any suggestions were the problem is please
Thanks

First swivel out battery tray and look under it have you got a small round [25-30mm] resistor attached with two wires and plug, if so this must be reconnected to it's mating socket near starter motor there may be two sockets that will accept this plug one is right but choose wrong one and watch resistor burn out when you turn on ign, no charge if this is not connected.....

Had a mate round today to get this sorted, and it was the battery senser cable broken where it goes into the plug. Have put a conector on to bypass the plug now all sorted.
Thanks for everyone's input.
