Ford 4610??

Hi All,

I am thinking of a possible purchase of a 4610
I understand there are problems with a porous block, what else should I be looking for? or shouldn't I be looking at all, and going in the direction of an MF
some indication to road speed would be good and I believe they are 3 cyl?
shes very clean and up together with 5k ish on the clock.
Finally, what would it be worth?.....Hope I don't put any cats amongst any pigeons :)

What cab has it got / What gear box has it got and is it a local tractor

Good 64hp tractor, basic checks as with anything mechanical, probably at that age an Ap or Lp cab (the square cab) so rust is the biggest worry, not just the sheet metal, but also the cab frame, take a small magnet with you and check it hasn't been bodged with filler and paint. All parts are available to repair the cabs, but i take it your not looking for a restoration project.
Speed is 18mph, yes 3 cylinder 64hp, but in good fettle punches above its weight, and fairly good on fuel. Should start instantly without heat above 0c
Just remember its a 32 year old tractor, and a capable one at that, but still 32 years old.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
