Quick question how do you get the half shaft out of the housing tried with a lump hammer and timber and it was just wobbling

Presumably you have the trumpet housing off and the brakes and planetary gears out of the way? And released the outer metal surround of the oil seal from the trumpet,with a chisel?
Set a good block of hardwood on the ground and drop the trumpet vertically so the end of the half shaft contacts the wood and it should knock out the shaft.
