Good tractor.rubics cube transmissions a pain in the arse and ap cabs rot like theres no tomorrow

We had one and would agree that it was a good tractor however would also agree that the cabs and mudguards rust like there's no tomorrow.
Oh dear,it falls to me to bring up the thorny subject of porous blocks.Other than that and points mentioned above I think they are damn good tractors.Someone will be along soon to tell you otherwise.

In the family we had a series1 that pulled like a train and a series2 that was only months older that was as dead as a door nail! Fondly remember the series1.
Back then we seemed to be able to cart 6 tonne loads of spuds with 2wd 6610s.now need 150 horse for 8 tonne and still get stuck in the mud.

handy tractors, thirsty noisey n horrible cab, nice simple transmission, do be aware it WILL go porus at some stage, was only £500 to get bored oun n liners fitted about 10 years ago, brother n myself dismantled n rebuilt it
Ford 6610's too good to be mixed up with fendts/JD shyte.

Generation 2 launched in October '85.

Our old 6610 was smoky & noisy, although it pulled well.
7610 is a much better tractor

where else is it going to go? there isnt a porus block section yet
Did they have different injector pumps? Series1 had a cold start button (excess fuel) and would start first fire with it on a cold morning. Other one would have to heat on the key and was a b@@trd to start as was a series 2 5610 we had.
Had 3 76's all with varying degrees of nausea, also had an 8210, now that was a tractor I regret selling
