They tell me its a 9600 engine but that cant be right as there is no turbo unless it's been stripped bare.
I'll have to do some homework.

If I was being picky I'd have to take another point off for not having the right 7000 decals.
Would just make it I reckon.

Ted, would that have the same rear diff as the Ford 8401?

From what I know,the 8401 was built using a 7700 back end , so technically similar.
I'm going to have a look next week but from what I'm told it's a genuine 1975 7000 that had that 6 cylinder dropped in from new.
I think it would be great fun as a tractor pull machine and a bit of stress relief from EGR,SCR,DPF and all the other crap ruining what we have now.

there was a 401S motor in the 86/87 and 401T (for turbo) in the 96/9700

A "proper" 7000 didnt have decals like that.
