Ford 7840 pto not working

I have a problem with the pto of a Ford 7840 not working, all fuses are OK, and the switch seems to be working good.
I was not able to find where the solenoid is located to check if the problem is there.

Alternator putting out 14v ?

Alternator is putting out 12.7 volts

Alternator is knackered.
Or at least a charging fault.

I tried to supply 14 volt but it doesn t work either.
The fan belt is self tensioning and it is in a good tension

Is the light on the pto knob coming on when you turn it ?

I found a loose contact in a cable and by fixing that the pto started working again.

Where abouts for future reference?

One of the three cables connected to the switch, the connector was loose, now that I made the contact a little bit stronger it seems to be working well

How did you access behind the switch?

I detached the panel with the three switches, pto, differential lock and 4 wheel drive. Inside there's a panel protecting the pto switch cables, I just removed that panel to n access to the rear switch.
