Ford 8240 lost drive

I was rolling In my 8240 ford I was in gear high 2 then the drive stopped and gear box started to crunch now I can’t drive in high of low gears 1234
But it is fine in 5-8 in hi and low is there anything to you try be for I strip it a parts and have a look in side

Pull the matt up from the floor and remove the inspection plate on top of the gear box. You might be lucky and have the cable snapped or come off or come out of adjustment for the 1-4 5-8 gear change.
Have seen the little screws that hold the cable into the gearbox come out.
What does the range change lever feel like
